Rake

Posted on December 13th, 2006 in General Texas Holdem Poker Strategy by blogger

What is the Rake?

The Rake is the money, which is removed from each pot to pay the House.

How much is the Rake?

The Rake has a variable structure dependant on the table limits. Most poker rooms take 3 - 5% and cap it at $3.

Is everyone at the table subject to the Rake?

Only players who are active in the hand are subject to the Rake. Active players are players who contribute to the pot in any way i.e. post a blind, bet, raise or re-raise. Players who are sitting out of a hand will not have their Rake allocations credited for that hand.

How can I benifit from this?

Here is a list of Texas Holdem Poker Rooms that offer Rake Back:

Posted on December 12th, 2006 in Step by Step Texas Holdem Poker Strategy for Beginners by blogger

The beginner strategy was designed with three criteria in mind:

  • Simplicity
  • Minimize Risk
  • winning Texas Holdem Poker strategy

It works well at the lowest limit tables because there are lots of beginners that make lots of mistakes playing at those limits. As you move up to bigger tables, however, the percentage of weak opponents will decrease. So you must clean up the flaws of the beginner strategy in order to survive and advance.

DO NOT try to use the beginner strategy at the higher limit tables!

Learn the lessons in our Free Poker Strategy Membership section. It will help you:

  • win more money playing online Texas Holdem Poker
  • win more consistently
  • advance and win at higher limit tables

Once you are firmilar with the 5 Rules in Step 5, you will want to try playing on two tables at once. Then try 3, and then 4.
I have three 21″ monitors and play up to 12 tables at once. (Multiple softwares).
If you can win $1 per hour/table, playing 4 tables will mean you can win $4 per hour.

Here are some photos of professional online player 3 and 4 monitor setups.
